Teaching

2023 Guest lecturer at the Goethe-University Frankfurt, taught one introductory experimental physics class (electrodynamics). Coordinated the advanced lab course at the Institute of Physics.

2022 Guest lecturer at the Goethe-University Frankfurt, taught three introductory experimental physics (classical mechanics and thermodynamics) lectures for ~150-180 freshmen as well as one lecture on "magnetic recording and spintronics". Co-organized a seminar on magnetism and magnetic materials. Co-advising an M.Sc. student with their research project.

2019-2022 Guest lecturer at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, delivered three lectures on "magnetic materials and applications" (topics: magnetism in biology, magnetic recording, spin transport and spin torques) as well as one lecture on "electronic properties of materials" (topic: wave-particle duality). Mentored students during their senior design project on "micromagnetic simulations of skyrmion dynamics". Designed and supervised micromagnetic simulation group projects for the "magnetic materials and applications" classes in fall 2020 and fall 2021 semesters. Co-advised four students in the Hoffmann group with their research projects.

2013-2018 Guest lecturer for advanced condensed matter physics elective classes, delivered three classes (topics: electronic transport and magnetometry techniques). Teaching assistant for ten different introductory and advanced condensed matter classes during this period of time, including: design of problem sheets and their solutions, organizing and leading discussion sessions, grading exams, office hours for students. Advisor for an experiment on electronic noise in the advanced lab course of the department. Co-guidance of 3 M.Sc. and 3 B.Sc. thesis research projects.
